My Dad graduated high school from the Sisters of Mary School. Finally, I was able to visit the campus which my Dad is really proud of.
I brought my Barbie doll, Blair, during this visit. It's my Dad's gift for being of the Star Pupil.
From here, I can already see the Virgin of the Poor chapel. I often hear about it from my Dad and I'm really excited!
Inside the Virgin of the Poor chapel is Fr. Al's tomb. While in the chapel, Dad told me the story of Fr. Al. Of how great he is, of how big his heart is for the poor.
He also told me about how he was worried when my Mom was just in her 2nd month of pregnancy. They thought I'd be lost. Some of Mom's relatives even thought of having me aborted due to fear of abnormalities or physical deformations. It's because my mom underwent a surgical operation to remove a couple of impacted tooth not knowing she was already pregnant. She was of course given sedatives before the operation which may have adverse effect against pregnancy. The recuperation period took longer than usual and it was only then that her OB Gyne aunt suspected and found out after the test that she's pregnant.
There was on and off bleeding and they really got worried. On their way to hospital for check up, Dad told Mom that they must accept whatever the outcome would be. Dad prayed and asked for Fr. Al's intercession. I turned out ok. It may or may not be because of Fr. Al's interecession but I guess I owe him one. Thank you, Fr. Al!
We joined some of the students in praying. We did the Station of the Cross and I now understand how much Jusus suffered for our sins. Thank you, Jesus!
I think I want to study here, too. But the thought of staying inside the campus the whole year with only a limited annual vacation, makes me think otherwise. :-)
